E. John Rosenwald, Jr., Joins TC Trustees | Teachers College Columbia University
John Rosenwald, Jr., retired Vice Chairman of The Bear Stearns Companies, Inc., was welcomed to the Teachers College Trustees in May of this year.
Named "Philanthropist of the Year" by The New York Times in 2000, Rosenwald sits on the board of many non-profit organizations, including Carnegie Hall, the Central Park Conservancy, the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York University and New York University School of Medicine, among others.
After graduating Dartmouth in 1952, he earned his MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business in 1953 and immediately joined Bear, Stearns & Company.
